Go under the bridge and immediately on your right pull the exposed cable cords to grab a throwable canister with a net inside. Punch the shell to reveal a steering wheel, then stand in front of it push the Options button to bring up the map. Proceed through the stage as normal until you reach the first dynamite enemy. Climb up to the platform where the caterpillars are roaming and destroy them.

Reddit communities, such as r/Trophies and r/PlayStationTrophies, serve as vibrant hubs for trophy enthusiasts. Here, players can engage in discussions, share their progress, and seek help from experienced trophy hunters. These communities often host boosting sessions for online trophies and provide support for tackling difficult challenges. The game’s accessible nature and forgiving difficulty contribute to its short completion time. There are no particularly challenging trophies that require extensive grinding or mastery of complex mechanics. The majority of trophies can be earned through natural progression and exploration.

The shape is a reference to the infamous “Boomerang” prototype controller, an unofficial name for the controller that was shown alongside the PlayStation 3 when it debuted. The controller would be dropped in favour of the more familiar DualShock design. In the PlayStation Labo area, the wall skirting just above the floor contain references to various PlayStation hardware ports. In the picture above, you can spot the PSP, PS Vita and PSP Go port and button layouts from the top and bottom of the systems.

Both titles are solid 3D platformers and must-haves for a PS5 owner – granted, one of them comes for free, anyway. The platform design is rarely all that inspired though and we’re still very disappointed that all the enemies are direct rip-offs of Mario enemies, even relatively obscure ones like Pokey and Wiggler. They act and are defeated in exactly the same way, which seems like the act of a hopelessly uninspired wannabe, which is the exact opposite impression you get from every other aspect of the game. From here, jump OK365 through two glass panels, but instead of using the switch on the right, jump left to get onto a platform with water on it, then left again through some glass.

It’s also free with every new PlayStation 5, so it’s the one game that you can almost guarantee everyone will play – and it gives a very good first impression. Land inside the box here and then spring out to get the PS Move Sharp Shooter. Land on the next switch to the left to lower some more platforms above. Jump up the platforms to the top, but keep an eye out on the top-left to spot Puzzle Piece #2.

These reference Doko Demo Issyo, released for the device in 1999 only in Japan, and developed by Sony Interactive Entertainment. It’s most famous for starring Toro Inoue, also known as the Sony Cat, who wishes to become human. At the end of the short side-path to the Multi-Tap, you’ll spot a Bot with a flashlight stalked by a Bot in a straw hat. This references 2003’s Siren on PS3, developed by SCE Japan Studio. In 2016, Siren was ported to the PlayStation 4 with added Trophy support. During the side-path to the PSone LCD Monitor, you’ll find a Bot in samurai attire next to a tree.

However, I have been very disappointed in their increasingly silly take on PSSR. PlayStation made a name for itself with exclusive titles, and titles like Helldivers 2 and Returnal show off the PS5’s tech. [newline]First, progress through the level until you get to the controller cable tight-rope walk to the first Checkpoint, which you’ll do after crossing an island with strong winds. You don’t have to actually cross the tight-rope, but you do need to extend it since you can’t do that whilst carrying something.

Here, you’ll have to pull some cables to reach a new area above and defeat some nearby enemies. However, before you get through the wall by pulling the cables in some rock ahead, look to the left and walk into the flower petals to reveal a Special Bot. As the precursor to Astro Bot, Astro’s Playroom is a great platformer that all PS5 owners will have for free when they first get their console. It has four key sections, all referencing other PlayStation games and devices while remaining a challenging platformer that uses all the unique design choices the DualShock 5 controller offers. The frog suit of Cooling Springs is an absolute treasure in its DualSense use, though the levels are not necessarily my favorites.

In the Labo Room will be three Bots cheering on another Bot using a dance mat. This references Dance Dance Revolution, a popular arcade game developed by Konami that was ported to the PS1 in 1999 exclusively in Japan. The game came bundled with a dance mat, but could also be played using a controller. One of the rewards in the Gacha game is a Bot playing with two Move Controllers and a PS VR headset. The movement of the Move Controllers are incredibly similar to 2019’s Beat Saber on PS4 by Beat Games. Beat Saber is one of the premiere games of PS VR, alongside Astro Bot Rescue Mission.

While most boss trophies are straightforward‚ some may demand precise timing and strategy. These challenges add excitement and depth to the game‚ making trophy completion a rewarding experience. Astro once again controls really well in this game although our adorable robot friend doesn’t have as deep a move set as a certain plumber does. Astro can jump, punch enemies, and perform a spin attack but that’s about it for the main move set. That was never a problem though as the game is constantly introducing new things for you to use to show off that controller and it feels really good all the way through. Every level has you trying to reach the goal at the end while collecting gold coins along the way.

Once you get to the very top of Mt. Motherboard, on the right you can see a Bot in a white cloak fighting against the wind. The character is a White Cloak, unlocked by finding all the Symbols in the game, and the struggle against the snow refers to the famous snowstorm finale. After defeating the stone dragon boss and reaching the start of Mt. Motherboard, look to the left to spot two fighters, one victorious over the other. The scene depicts the canon ending of the game, where Kazuya Mishima is victorious over his father Heihachi. At the second Checkpoint, look left to spot a giant white robot with a rock club, and a Bot with a sword and tunic on a tiny pinnacle in front of him.
